Desktop are slightly easier to repair and upgrade due to their larger size and accessibility. Parts such as Hard drives can be upgraded in order to allow more storage and other items such as fans and graphics cards can be replaced if malfunctioning. Once again it is not always cost effective to repair these items, in which case we would advise accordingly.
